Kenyan Fashion Accessories house Katchy Kollections was founded in Nairobi by Award winning designer of the ‘African Designer for tomorrow’ competition Anthony Mulli who at the tender age of 16 years set out on this creative journey of preserving cultural heritage, while at the same time bringing about social change within Kenya through employment.

With innovative designs inspired by traditional craftsmanship skills and technique which are then manipulated in the construction of its designs, using beadwork as the main ingredient, Katchy Kollections have embarked on a new journey of creating A bag, ‘The Safari Mini Bag’ which reflects the Kenyan creative flair but made for women across the world who enjoy a touch of chic elegance every day.

Measuring 9 ½’’ in Height by 9 ¾ ‘’ in width, the safari mini’s anatomy is made up of a wax lined nylon canvas, with a cotton lining interior fitted with one zipped compartment on one side and on the other, a mobile phone and card holder pocket, finished off with a leather trim top and leather handles.

The collection can be purchased directly from Katchy Kollections New studio on Karen Lane, off Karen Road, Kenya. The Collection is a celebration of color inspired by the vibrant styles the African continent has to offer. Check out the ten colors below and be a SAFARI girl. AAKS Handcrafted Bags-OnoBello (2)

AAKS handcrafted produces raffia bags handmade by a women’s cooperative in Bolgatanga, Northern Ghana. The brand produces luxurious handmade accessories using ethical processes and age-old craft traditions, which are not often seen beyond the borders of Ghana. However Ghanaian fashion designer Akosua Afriyie-Kumi wants the world to see how luxury and quality can grow from traditional designs and is using AAKS handcrafted to change perceptions of Africa through fashion.

After interning and working with fashion designers such as Peter Pilotto, Matthew Williamson and William Tempest in London, she embarked on her own path in 2014 to set up AAKS in Ghana.

Akosua has showcased her work internationally in Milan, London and now stocked by the prestigious store Anthropologie.
