In honor of multi-cultural day at the kids’ school…

This piece was made/designed by Nigerian brand; Vogue Africaine (thank you). It comes with a head tie (not pictured-not worn). Instead of wrapping the bottom part the traditional way, I tied my wrap really snug at the waist to last the whole day…otherwise I’d have been re-wrapping throughout.

Here is how you should choose your night wear based on your environment and temperature.

Overly hot environment: if you find yourself feeling hot when you sleep, this is a sign that you have to buy a cotton material. This breathable material would help you not to overheat. You should opt for the light cotton variety to further reduce the heat. Cotton is the ideal choice for warmer environments.

Cold temperatures: if the temperature is quite cold, or if you don’t react well to cold weather, you should get yourself a nightwear made out of wool. This material may not be as popular as cotton or silk, but it would help to keep you warm. Wool helps improve the quality of your sleep through its internal thermal control; which in turn aids blood flow.

Mild temperatures: here, silk is the material for you. Because silk is so light weight, it helps prevent overheating and sweating. In addition to this, silk, being silky, pampers your skin and makes you feel like royalty.

Menswear designer Tzar is out with an amazing lookbook for Spring/Summer 2015, here’s what he had to say about this collection.
“For my Spring Summer 16 collection titled ‘1760’ a number but more importantly my Identity for a certain gruesome period in my life spent in a remote part of Western Nigeria. The experience from this time and Alberto Burri’s work on Sacchi mesh to explain this some what traumatic timeline. The collection is a visual and emotional interpretation of my habitation in that environment.The predominant colour being blue emphasizes the difficulty in accepting the change I had to endure ,an inflexible mindset but then over time after much cogitation I reckoned that embracing the situation and creating my own acceptable version of reality would be the better option. Hues of Brown/Beige depicting long dusty roads I walked daily lined up with navy coloured kiosks selling the indigenous indigo-dyed fabric. Loose silhouettes of oversized burlap-esque linen shirts with exaggerated sleeves and distressed necklines exuding a sense of despair.”

ReneyFresh’s general style is a mixture of both the old school and the modern trends but we all know street style knows no era. The look that warmed our hearts today was a denim on denim outfit by Reney himself which revealed his more playful side despite his “don’t-mess-with-me” appearance.

Giving us his own denim fashion, he wore a pair of ripped slim-fitted jeans to match a black shirt and a short-sleeved denim shirt. He accessorized the clothes with a black bowler hat and a pair of black sports shoes.
