LOOKBOOK: Menswear Label JZO Presents “Aremo” D/H’16 Collection

    0 27

JZOs D/H’16 Collection, “Aremo” (Yoruba for Heir Apparent) is inspired by the modern day struggle of the African male to adopt a contemporary style while retaining his traditional identity. Its always refreshing to see menswear designs which are artistic but wearable at the same time – JZO ticks all the boxes. There is no doubt the designer has looked to some of the bigger names in the industry but has infused its own spin with the embroidery.

Menswear brand, JZO has collaborated with Tunde Owolabi Studios, makers of the bags and shoes featured in this lookbook. Aremo Collection is a blend of non-traditional jackets with a rebellious play on symmetry, and lapel features (or absence of) the pieces are made entirely from hand-woven custom made Aso-Oke, detailed with elaborate Hausa-Fulani Aiki-Sama embroidery all in JZOs standard colour palate – of cobalt blue, burgundy, black and brown.
