Young Emerging Designers Shines At Nigerian Student Fashion Design week 2015
The third edition of the nigerian student fashion design week 2015 saw an impressive display of talent, skill and passion rip the runway in gorgeous designs as young Nigerian designers took to the stage to fight for the ‘Most Creative Designer’ crown.
The event packaged by BlackNBold Fashion House, a leading fashion promoting company with its base in England and Nigeria and headline sponsor, leading sports and betting company Winasbet sure thrilled the crowd with fashion, music and comedy.
The 4-day fashion event which was organized with the aim of promoting and encouraging emerging fashion designers saw creativity take centre stage from July 15th through to the July 18th at the University of Lagos.
On ground to grace the event were guest judges like: Yomi Casual, Ejiro Amos-Tafiri, Kola Kuddus, Tewa Onasanya (Editor in Chief; Exquisite Magazine) and Onome Fasan (Ebonyworths) while the gala show was hosted by Ariyike of Spice Television.
Various designers grabbed the opportunity to showcase their collections amongst which are: Onomene, Morafa , Mesoben, Enitan, Afrik Abay, O’Khlems, Bloke Oluwajimi, Precious eye for fashion, joymaire , Conae Insigna, Oza Couture, Brandelle Inc and Azariel,
At the end of the competition, the crowd went wild as Hauwa Liman (Afrik Abay) all the way from Kano State with the collection – ‘Afrik Invasion’ emerged winner, Morafa grabbed the second position , while Enitan was awarded ‘Youngest most creative designer’. Several other designer were acknowledged for being distinct: Oza Couture and joymaire .
