Tuesday night Johannesburg’s A-Listers dressed up for what was to be the celebration of all things fashion

One of the most important events on South Africa’s fashion calendar, SA Fashion Week, is set to start tonight and will continue until 25 October. Last night, Johannesburg’s socialites and celebrities celebrated the kick-start of this auspicious event in Kramerville, hosted by luxury vodka brand Cruz Vodka.

Jessica Nkosi (with friend) looked particularly dazzling in this good-girl at the bottom, bad-girl at the top Rubicon Clothing creation. The Isibaya actress, unlike her character Qondi on the soap, looked modern and chic. In a pink floral dress reminiscent of a Disney Princess, Thando Thabethe celebrated Spring in her Sober Design gown. The Generation’s actress looks convincingly innocent and ready to take up her crown as the Queen.

Actress and TV Personality Amanda du Pont kept it simple and to the point with a bit of a sexy twist. One thing is for sure, gladiator heels, a knee-length leather skirt, a lacy top and a matching black bra equals absolute perfection. Actress Khanya Mkhangisa, looked feisty in a long black leather-waist skirt paired with leather bandeau created by Erre Fashion.

Live Amp presenter Lootlove has perfected the balance between looking boyish and ultra-feminine at the same time. She looks sleek and stylish in a House of Ole creation. The Fashion Rebels who are the founders of the SocialMARKET in Pretoria, and are known for their eccentric dress sense and style, didn’t disappoint!
